MAIN PROJECT OBJECTIVE

The main objective of the project is international cooperation of university research teams from V4 countries with the focus on the detection and prevention of mastitis in dairy cattle farms located in marginal regions. In addition to the diagnostics of mastitis in dairy cows, the investigators will deal with the quality and safety of the raw milk and dairy products produced on the farms. The project will improve the situation by updating and introducing new preventive and diagnostic procedures against mastitis by identifying environmental bacteria and their mastitis causing virulence factors such as antibiotic resistance and the production of toxins. Based on the obtained results in practical breeding conditions, members of the research team will analyze ways to reduce mastitis and increase milk production in dairy farms located in marginal regions of V4 countries.
